But access to the great outdoors wasn't an early priority for the architects of the ADA, so general accessibility in nature has been slow to develop. But one camp up in Park County, Colorado has been focused on the value of accessibility in nature since the mid-1980s, years before the ADA became law. It's known around the world today as a rare example of enhanced access to nature.
