Capitol Conversation: Colorado and the 2012 Presidential Race

President Barack Obama recently made his third trip to Colorado in the last four months. Colorado is expected to be a key swing state in the general election. As part of our capitol conversation series, »Ê¹ÚÍøÖ·â€™s State Capitol Reporter Bente Birkeland sat down with fellow state house reporters to talk about Colorado’s role in the 2012 presidential race.

Bente Birkeland is an award-winning journalist who joined Colorado Public Radio in August 2018 after a decade of reporting on the Colorado state capitol for the Rocky Mountain Community Radio collaborative and »Ê¹ÚÍøÖ·. In 2017, Bente was named Colorado Journalist of the Year by the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), and she was awarded with a National Investigative Reporting Award by SPJ a year later.
