Thirty-one ounces of iced refreshment in one big ... well, we can't really call it a "gulp" can we?
That's what (and no, 'bucks isn't offering Trenta-sized hot coffee drinks at any of the shops where it's rolling out the bigger cups; just iced drinks). The Trenta is 11 ounces larger (and 50 cents more expensive) than Starbucks' previous heavyweight, the Venti.
Now, the Trenta still isn't as large as 7-Eleven's Super Big Gulp -- even after that iconic drink's recent downsizing to 40 ounces ( ). But 31 ounces is pretty big. It is, after all, like having nearly a quart of liquid in your cupholder.
So, we wonder:
(And, yes, we know that is not a scientific survey designed to seriously measure anything. We just needed a -- dare we say it? -- coffee break from the day's important news.)
