The city of Longmont has won a long-running battle against retailer Dillard鈥檚.A Boulder County District Court judge Monday night , granting them the title to the Dillard鈥檚 property at the blighted Twin Peaks Mall.
The city and the developer had been with the anchor store, which had an agreement that allowed it to veto any changes to the mall. Dillard's had argued that it could remain open during the renovation, prompting the city to file for condemnation of the property.
Monday's for the planned $80 million redevelopment project to move forward.
An eminent domain trial will be held to set a price for Dillard鈥檚. The date for that trial has not yet been set.
