Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' March 3 University of Northern Colorado concert isn't just creating buzz on campus. It may be boosting sales at some second-hand stores.
Why?
Their hit song 鈥淭hrift Shop鈥� is currently behind another phenomenon that has Lyrics like "one man's trash, that's another man's come up" seem to be striking a chord.
"That song has just been fantastic for us, it is a riot and we really enjoy it," says Eric Bowers, store manager at Greeley's Arc Thrift Store.
Bowers says he can't show that the recent rise in sales is directly tied to the song "Thrift Shop" or the . He has noticed more college-aged adults visiting the store though.
"We do have positive sales increases, both volume of customers and sales in February. We actually had a successful month in January as well."
